MH370, Tears, Demons, Blessings

Bismillah.

Ya Allah.. You know where the aircraft is and where the passengers are, You know. Please show us a sign ya Allah of their whereabouts. We are reminded of Your Greatness, ya Rabb of what had happened. A transport is a creation and the creator of all creations is You. When tragedy strikes, we seek You. We pray to You. Because we are weak, we can't save but You. Only the rescue and search efforts and our dua are what we can do for now ya Rabb.

Our hearts unite before You, Ya Rabb, to please protect and save everyone onboard MH370.  Grant the best of patience and strength to the families of the passengers and crew. You are our only God, there is no other God except You alone. You alone We worship and You alone we seek help from.

Aku sangat2 yakin ni semua pasti ade hikmahnya. Allah knows best, He knows what He's doing. When a person gets on a mode of transportation, be it an airplane, train, bus, car, cab, boat, he or she is automatically a traveller. A traveller must come from a starting point and will have a destination. That is the like of us on this dunya. It reminds us of our purpose.

Another thing is that these transportation is not what gets us to places, rather, it is Allah. We cannot undermine the importance of seeking His protection everytime we leave the house and board the bus, the train, the car etc. There is no guarantee that we'll make it safe the next time. Also, to where are we travelling and for what purpose? What if we were to end our lives in a transport, would the intention of travelling have been accepted by Allah and that which would please Him?

Ya Rabb, make every test that you blessed us with as a means to get ourselves closer to You. Ameen.

A Better Solah, insyaAllah

Alhamdulillah, received this forwarded message. Do share it and may it be of benefit! (Just a little bit of Malay at the start.)
-------------------------------------
We have been taught since young to solat sebab tak nak masuk neraka and hence itu tanggungjawab kita. Le'ts shift into thinking that WE NEED the solat utk kehidupan di dunia and akirat. Slowly we will feel kemanisan solat. How? Here’s one example. Look out for many more and don't forget to ask from Allah swt. Wallahualam
So beautiful reminder I had to share with you:
Today I come to you with a very simple act…… an action which we do every day……

I noticed many of us go to Rukuu or Sujoud and raise up so fast, some don’t even take the time to say “Subhana Rabi Al Adheem” 3 times…and say it only once!!!!
Well, I have good news for you today…… I have news that will make you from today onwards go to Rukuu or Sujoud with a different feeling and different timing.

The Prophet PBUH said: When a slave stands and prays, all his sins are brought and placed on his head and shoulders. Every time he bows or prostrates, some of them fall from him.” (Bayhaqi, Saheeh al-Jami’)

So from now on when you stand up to pray, imagine all your sins being placed on your head and shoulders and when you go on Rukuu and Sujoud, stay longer to lose as many as you can and picture them falling down and away from you. Understand the purpose of praying… this will help you concentrate …..
When you go to the position of Rukuu, feel and tell Allah with your heart that you will never kneel to anyone but him and picture those sins falling down.
And when you say “Sami’Allahu liman hamidah” (Allah hears who thanks Him) and you say “Rabbana walakal Hamd” (Thanks to you my Lord) you are thanking Him for honoring you and making you stand straight not like the other creatures who walk on four with their back bent. Thank Him for making you able to move and pray.
When you go to the first Sajdah (you put your head down on the floor) you are representing the earth which you came from and when you get up after the first Sajdah you are representing the first time He created you from the earth.
When you go on the second Sajdah again on the ground, you are representing when you die and you go back to the ground and when you get up the second time you are representing the second time when Allah brings you back from the dead on the Day of Judgment, therefore, concentrate with every movement and feel it.
Make a lot of du’aa in Sujoud and remember du’aa is ibadah and Allah loves those who ask Him…ask Him and beg Him… complain to Him… you are better off complaining to Him than to humans….He will never betray you, He will never let you down, He will never look down on you and He is the only one who can answer your needs with your head held high.
Do you know the reason you say “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is greater) every time you move in a prayer?
It’s a reminder that Allah is greater than anything you might be thinking about from this world. So be honest when you say “Allahu Akbar” and remember He is greater than anything that is occupying your mind while you pray.

Do you know when you stand up to pray and say “Allahu Akbar”, Allah stands before you and the minute your mind goes wondering on silly things in this life, Allah turns His face away from you and says (Is there something better than me taking you away from me?)
How lucky are we to have Allah meet us and stand before us 5 times a day, to listen to us and to our problems and to grant us our wishes and forgives us for our sins every day. You say “Allahu Akbar and He is there, you don’t need to stand in front of His door for hours or take an appointment or meet a mediator or a secretary, how generous is He?
Hopefully we will all from today pray differently and enjoy our prayers like never before In shaa Allah. Yaa Allah taqabbal salaatana… Ameen.
Spread to all.

Takeaways from Death By Appointment Event @ Madrasah Aljunied al-Islamiah

Just a heads up, it is mixed in English and Malay. May it be of benefit.
What to do when we’re faced with someone who is in a state of “Nazak”
  • Hadap beliau ke arah kiblat
  • Ajar kalimah tauhid, La ilahaillallah. To the right ear. Slowly and clearly.
  • Baca surah yasin.
  • Remind him/her to think well(husnuzzon) of Allah swt
When we come to visit someone who is in a state of nazak, it is makruh to stay for long as we may end up talking about wordly things or eat as we please. Come with the intention of making du’a for the person and then quickly go home.
When we do visit, only say the goodness of the person. Do not mention his faults.
Call doctor to certify his/her death(CCOD)
What to do with a jenazah while awaiting the pengurusan jenazah people to arrive
  • Letak maiyit atas katil
  • Tutup dengan kain batik lepas.
  • Tanggalkan pakaian maiyit..if not jenazah berpeluh~speed up decomposition of body
  • Tutupkan mata using thumb and index finger
Cium dahi jenazah is sunnah. Nabi Muhammad sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam cium dahi Uthman(RA) and a tear fell from Uthman’s eye.
Sangka baik terhadap setiap jenazah
When handling with the private parts when washing the jenazah, tangan mesti berlapik.
Plan your departure..
A major event to be included in our life is Death.
1)Know your destination. We’re all travellers on this dunya, travelling back home. Where? Jannah
2)Check your passport
We are the authors of our own life. We’re holding the pen. Reflect upon ourselves and what we have done and said in the past. It’s never too late to start making small changes and be better Muslims today.
3)Things to bring.
SIA- Sedekah jariyah. Ilmu yg bermanfaat. Anak soleh yg mendoakan.
Balighu Anni Walau Ayah(Sampaikanlah daripadaku walaupun satu ayat)- what we learn, we share with our family and friends so they can get the benefit too insyaAllah
*Sedekah atas our late ones*

NOW is the real gift. Tomorrow is a Bonus.

When love of dunya enters our heart fears of akhirat exits…
When fear of akhirah enters our heart love of dunya exits.

May Allah swt guide us all and may He cause us to live and die in a state of true submission. Ameen ya Rabb.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, may Allah reward you (:

BACK! :)

Assalamu'alaikum!

I last blogged about 7 months ago and I'm glad to be back alhamdulillah. The past 6 months have been a ride, and now that I'm done with my Industrial Attachment Programme, I am a free bird. Except that I have to prepare for my Final Year Project presentation. I plan to remain untied down  for at least 3 weeks or a month before I apply for a job. I plan to work for about 2 years, save up, gain experience, learn how to manage money, support my family. Following that I plan to enter SIM's Bachelor Degree Programme in Social Work. Still, Allah knows best. :')

Continue to learn, serve, experience.

May Allah ease all of our affairs, ameen.

Sabr

When you ask Allah swt for patience, He won't give you patience. Instead, He will place you in situations that are purposed to test you, that will make a normal human being angry, lose steam, give up, tear the wall down, cuss and swear but He wants to see if you are patient. So accept it with an open mind and heart, breathe in, and let go.

O Allah, make us to be patient. Grant us patience of the best of patience. Ameen.
